SMOKE DETECTOR

Change'Air Control Systems markets the Firex line of smoke detectors. Firex is a regongnized leader in fire protection and smoke detectors provide that early detection of smoke and products of combustion present in air moving through HVAC equipment. Fans, dampers or the complete system may be shut down in the event of smoke detection.

Air sampling is accomplished by two tubes which operate at an ambient temperature up to 158 degrees F. and air velocities up to 4,000 ft/min. It does not need separate filters or screens and comes with a manual test/reset switch for routine inspections.
