MOTOR SPEED CONTROL

PSC Control

The PSC motor (permanently split capacitor) is a typical AC motor. PSC motors can be speed reduced by several devices the most common being a variable frequency drive. A VFD is expensive so we developed more efficient control board to give users speed adjustability.

Our PSC motor speed board (MSB) gives site adjustability to a PSC motor efficiently. The controller uses recessed speed adjustments and is a triac based digital board. A minimum speed adjustment is present and adjustable. Electrical connections from the speed controller are through a terminal block capable of accepting up to 16 AWG cabl

A Dual speed board is also available which gives speed adjustment for two speeds. On both the single and the dual motor speed boards the board can be fully bypassed for 100% motor operation. The adjustable speed, whether one or two) are controlled through a binary 24VAC signal.
